Product Description
1994-96, Made In Japan, “T” serial
’69 model Mustang
Mid 90’s, FujiGen production period
Right on it’s 30th birthday
This is an incredible find, condition wise it is near new, with zero fret wear
But more amazing that the condition is the next level upgrades it has received
Without a doubt, this is THE toughest sounding Mustang I have ever had in store
The tonal range and variety is outstanding
It is fitted with a Dimarzio 155 humbucker in the bridge
Plus a Dimarzio 180 single coil sized humbucker in the neck
The wiring has been fully upgraded with:
CTS USA 250K pots
Switchcraft USA ¼” jack
Sprague USA Orange Drop tone cap
Switchcraft USA on/off/on switches
It has also had black shielding paint added to the cavities
Sound wise, the bridge 155 is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but with a wider dynamic range
Hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter.
The bass and low-mid response is huge and reinforces the bottom end and make the overall sound bigger
The neck 180 is warm sounding, very well balanced, and has the same unique tonal characteristics as the original full size Air Norton humbucker
The upper slide switch is a standard 3 way pickup selector
- Bridge
- Bridge + Neck
- Neck
The lower slide switch is for coil split on the bridge humbucker
- Single coil
- Humbucker
- Neck pickup solo
These switching options just add to the variety of tones possible
The guitar itself is a high gloss Black finish
Fitted with a three ply Tortoiseshell pickguard
7.25” board, vintage frets
24” scale
Shallow “C” profile, 39mm nut neck width
Maple one piece neck
Rosewood fretboard
“F” scroll neck plate
Kluson vintage style sealed tuners
A very unique Mustang, in excellent condition
