Product Description
Late 1990s to early 2000’s era
EJ-78TV model, Made in Japan
This model is a Gibson style, double cut, TV bass
It is the signature bass of Jun Onose, bassist (founder) for Japanese band Luna Sea
(if you are unfamiliar look them up!)
The build quality and finishing on MIJ Edwards guitars is outstanding
This bass in no exception, it punches WAY above it’s price point
With unique features in both aesthetics and tone
With good reason, this model is a cult favourite for fans of the band and TV style basses
It is a high gloss Blue finish, with matching headstock and neck colour
Mahogany body
The original pair of ESP bass humbuckers (passive) have an incredible sound
It is a J Bass tone supercharged !
They have a huge round low end, whilst retaining midrange for clarity
Individually/solo, the neck is full and thumping, whilst the bridge snarls
Combined, they capture that classic and true rock tone
(personally, with everything at 10, I think they nail that post punk sound/tone)
Controls are 2 x Volume, 1 x Tone
Maple neck
At only 1.54” at the nut it is slim and fast to play
Rosewood fretboard
It has no fretboard markers (my favourite feature) aside from the 24th fret
(it still has side markers)
This gives such a sleek look, and is a great touch
12” board
Full 34” scale
Full 24 fret neck, medium jumbo frets
"Open book" style headstock
All black hardware
Gotoh (MIJ) sealed, two a side tuners
High mass, four saddle, fully adjustable bridge
This is an amazing overall bass in both tone and looks
It packs a massive punch for the price point, truly worth of being a signature instrument
All original, with no modifications and repairs, excellent overall condition
ITEM CONDITION
