Product Description
1989, Made In Japan, “E” serial
FujiGen Production Period
Pencilled in neck date = 18th January 1989
This is a real deal, stage played and “road worn” 37 year old Stratocaster
(unlike something new that has been beaten with a hammer and sanded in a “custom shop”)
The neck is perfectly worn in, and silky to play
The body has edge chips, dull machinery, dings, dents, and all the rest
But most of all, is the MASSIVE bonus that lies under the pickguard
It has been fitted with a set of Seymour Duncan pickups
They appear to be very early 1990’s models
(post the bobbin engraved year code, with the paper “1R” stickers)
Making them SSL-1 models, wound by Connie Rocha
These are Alnico single coils, which capture an incredible array of tones
Everything from the classic glassy lead tone of the bridge
To the darker and rhythmic tone of the neck, and everything in between
High gloss black finish
Three ply white pickguard
7.25” board, vintage frets
Standard 25 ½” scale
Maple one piece neck
Slab Rosewood fretboard with a beautifully dark woodgrain
True to 60’s era features…
-High mass tremolo black
-Spaghetti headstock logo
-Non Skunk stripe neck
If you are looking for a mint condition closet piece, this is not the one
But if you are looking for a players Strat that is worn in with an incredible tone, stop the search
It has a excellent playability, freshly set up with 10-46 Daddario strings
Highly sought after E serial, 1980’s model, nearing its 40th year vintage
Includes a gig case/bag
