Product Description
1976, Made in Japan, FujiGen production
This is the Greco SA-500 model
From the 1976 production catalogue
Very, very few of the SA-500 models ever become available
They are becoming increasingly rare to get a hold of as the years roll on
Consistently praised for their super lightweight, and smaller sized body
It is the perfect sized instrument for regular stage use
With near identical features and specs to a Gibson “339”
But this Greco model/design pre-dates the “real” one by decades !!!
Making them incredibly sought after, and way ahead of their time
Honey Sunburst style finish
Hollow body, with an amazing natural tone
It has a stunning book matched, flame grained front and rear
Full body binding, F hole binding, and neck binding
Maple neck, open book headstock
Rosewood fretboard, with a very dark grain (almost like Ebony)
Block inlays, medium frets
24 ¾” scale, 12” radius
Thin, 60’s style, neck profile
Original Greco/Maxon U-1000 humbuckers
Sealed headstock tuners
Overall, it is in excellent condition
Especially for an instrument that is about to hit the 50year old vintage mark
