But is the beginning of the logo transition
One of the earliest versions you will find with the proper “R” font in “Greco”
Year date established from the original pickups batch number
Plus it has the “star” logo in the rosewood of the last fret, and “star” tuners
These are only found on 1974 Matsumoku productions
The SA-550 is a serious challenger to any Gibson ES335
With the main difference being it is a full Hollow Body, no centre block
Cherry Red finish, the figuring on the body wood is amazing
Perfectly offset with aged creamed body binding
Maple set neck
24 ¾” scale length, 12” radius

ITEM CONDITION
All machinery, electrical, and pickups are without issue. Some light surface marks, some small impressions/dings/dimples/dents, there are some line cracks through the paint finish on the sides, the binding has consistent line cracks, one piece of neck binding replaced on the last 3 frets high e side, chrome has a light aging and dullness - as pictured.
