Super Bass SB600 model
This is Yamaha’s take on an offset Jazz Bass
And they nailed it!
Super punchy output and low end, with that classic J tone and growl
These models have exception finishing and build quality
The neck is closer to a fatter 50’s P bass profile
However, its plays quickly and is not uncomfortable
Nato, “Eastern Mahogany”, body
It features a classic Sunburst finish
Three ply Black pickguard
Maple neck, black dot inlays
Full 34” scale, 12” radius
Four a side open gear tuners
Four saddle, radius adjustable and intonatable, high mass bridge
Approaching 50 year of age, this is an excellent find
Great playability, with that worn in feel only found in a vintage instrument
