Product Description
1991-92, Made In Japan, “L” serial
Early 90’s Fender JPN, FujiGen production
Model TL62-70
Rare to find Charcoal Burst (CCB) finish
It is absolutely stunning up close
Every CCB finish is slightly different, AND TRULY UNIQUE
This comes from the flame charring, following the wood grain,
for the “Charcoal” effect
So you will never see two CCB finishes exactly the same
This is THE perfect example of a FujiGen built guitar
American Basswood body
Maple one piece neck
Slab Rosewood fretboard
3 ply black pickguard
60’s era “spaghetti” headstock logo
String through, 3 saddle ashtray bridge
Vintage Kluson style sealed tuners
7.25” radius, vintage frets,
Shallow “C” profile
Standard 25 ½” scale, 42mm neck nut width
Alnico single coil pickups
Typical Tele twang with a nice bite to the tone
The biggest feature is the weight, incredibly it is only 2.98kg !!!
By far, this is the lightest example for this model I have even seen
(out of genuinely 100’s of TL62’s)
Overall, it is in excellent overall condition
Just some body edge dints/chips/knicks
(to be expected after three decades)
The frets show almost no real wear, and are close to full height
At 35 years vintage, this is one of the most unique, and certainly lightest, Tele’s you will find
Includes the original Fender Gig Case
ITEM CONDITION
All machinery, electrical, and pickups are without issue. Some very light surface marks, some small impressions/dings/dimples/dents/chips (mostly body edges), very light aging to chrome - as pictured.
