Product Description
1974, Made in Japan, FujiGen production
This is the Greco SA-450 model
From the “Gneco” period headstock logo era
(the “R” in the “Greco” logo reads like an “N”)
These are a pre-serial number production, from some of the earliest Greco models
Very, very few of the SA-450 model guitars are now around
They are becoming increasingly rare to get a hold of
Near identical features and specs to a Gibson “339”
Loved for their super light weight and smaller (ES339) sized body
But this Greco model/design pre-dates the “real” one by decades !!!
This makes them incredibly sought after, and way ahead of their time
It is the perfect sized instrument for regular stage use and play
Honey Sunburst finish
Amazing full hollow body, natural tone
Maple front and rear body wood
The flamed grain is particularly amazing on this guitar
Maple neck with block inlays
Rosewood fretboard, incredibly dark grained
Full body binding and neck binding
24 ¾” scale, 12” radius
Very thin, 60’s style, neck profile
Twin original Maxon humbuckers, original “Gneco” logo chrome covers
Greco Star stamped, sealed headstock tuners
A beautiful sounding and playing 52+ year old vintage instrument
