Product Description
Yamaha SA-30T Model
Modelled after the ES335
1966, Made In Japan, serial number
Nippon Gaki build
This is an INCREDIBLY early 4 digit, serial number = 25xx
(out of literally hundreds of SA models I have had, this is the lowest number ever seen - Brent – String Switch Noise)
This is an VERY RARE to find, 1st year of production, 1966 model
Officially, the SA series begins in 1967, with serial number range 3952-7433
However there are numerous examples of 1966 serial numbers in this series
Yamaha 4 digit serials, across all models, in this era date 0398-3951
So 25xx must be in the first few hundred SA30’s ever made
Making this guitar an incredibly valuable find, and an outstanding vintage collector
Being a 1966 it is also right celebrating it’s 60th Birthday !
The SA30T is a Hollow, cream double-bound body
Sycamore Maple top, back and sides
Stunning Cherry Red finish
Still retaining a high gloss shine
22 fret, Rosewood fret board
Cream neck binding
Super flat and fast 20” board radius
42mm nut neck width, “Zero” Fret
24 ¾” scale length (Standard Gibson scale)
Traditional open gear Yamaha tuners
3 position toggle switch with separate pickup balancer pot

Overall, the condition is excellent for an instrument of this age
This is truly a vintage find that the collector (and player) should not miss
