The SA-70 is a full hollow body construction, double-bound
Maple top, back and sides
Cherry Red finish
Matching neck colour
Maple neck, 30” scale, “zero” fret
Split mother of pearl neck inlays
Rosewood fret board with neck and head binding
Open gear tuners
Rosewood floating bridge, fixed saddle, height adjustable
Control layout is master volume, master tone, pickup balance/blend
The pickups have a great balance, and beautiful clean tone
Even better when you feed some dirt and fuzz effects through them
The body fratures Baffled F-holes, with cream binding
These are excellent for reducing feedback at low volumes
For the fans, this model is a big part of the sound for the band Queens on the Stone Age
(Alain Johannes uses a modified Yamaha SA70)
It is prominent on many of the song recordings on the album “Lullabies to Paralyze” – 2005
It was also used extensively for the 2005 live tour

ITEM CONDITION
All machinery, electrical, and pickups are without issue. Some light surface marks and scuffing, some small impressions/dings/dimples/dents/chips, some light to aging/tarnish to hardware, some crazing/line cracks to colour finish, the hard case has had extra foam and padding added to the inside at some point in it’s life - as pictured.
